Families have a funny way of repeating patterns. That is, until someone is willing to feel the feelings and work through the shit. Then that unhealthy, negative pattern tends to stop.
How do you know if it's a pattern? Sometimes it's hard to tell! This is where making a family tree, specifically called a genogram, can be so helpful! I walk you through some questions to ask as you built your tree. You can also check out today's instagram post to see some genogram examples. You can also just google it if you want to geek out--there is lots of info out there!
