Well, get out your pen and be ready to journal!  I'm outlining 3 ways to get started on your journaling practice.  These are just the tip of the iceberg, as there are many ways to journal and there isn't really a wrong way to do it. 

Here are the 3 Methods I cover today:

  1. Personal Insight--This is essentially writing out everything you are thinking, like you were talking to a good friend.  There is the intention that you are trying to understand yourself more behind this, even if you are only unburdening yourself of these thoughts.
  2. Gratitude--Simply writing down what you are thankful for in your life.  This could be entire paragraphs with rich descriptions, or it could simply be a list of 3 things every day.
  3. Dominant Hand and Non-Dominant Hand Writing--This usually works best with a prompt or a subject.  Begin by writing it with your dominant hand, and then respond with your non-dominant hand.  This connects you to your inner child, your soul or your deep inner knowing.  Messages and insights from deep within emerge.  This is a deeply satisfying method.
